Maths Week
In the Autumn Term we had a whole school maths week. The week was organised by Miss Head, the school maths co-ordinator. The week started with the children working in mixed age groups to explore maths with different teachers across the school. On Tuesday parents were invited to come into school to share maths games with the children. 24 parents came in and enjoyed playing games with different aged children. All of the children took part in a maths bee working as teams to answer a range of age appropriate maths problems. The children also had the opportunity to play the games that they had made during half term with other children in their classes. As a finale to the week we had a visit from Selwyn with his maths in a suitcase. The children were able to explore lots of shape problems with their friends and the staff enjoyed solving the problems too.
