Home Learning Ideas

Dear Parents

Here are some ideas for home learning you can do with your child.  It would be great if they could continue to read daily and have a go at keeping a diary for writing practice.

We have included some links to lovely websites.

We have been using Daily 10 on the Topmarks website which the children are really enjoying for quick recall of known maths facts, we have also introduced them to Mathsbot and TTRockstars. Topmarks has lots of literacy and maths games to reinforce the childrens learning. We were due to teach the children to read the time to the quarter hour, so any fun clock games and activities will stand them in good stead. We have been revising addition and subtraction of 2 digit numbers and these are always good foundation concepts to secure.

There are some good spelling and grammar activities on Twinkl and Topmarks and Pobble 365 have some wonderful pictures for story writing and telling inspiration!

We hope these ideas will help you while we are not at school, but they should not be a burden.  It is important for the children to learn to bake, draw and make things too! So please access them when, and if, you want to.

We included another document with lots more ideas as to how you can help your child and some offline, busy bee activities including Cosmic Yoga.  Please remember to have fun, look after each other and keep safe.
